Did you read the book yet (or are you planning to read it)? Just read some brief reviews of the book, and I'm curious what it's really like. Although perhaps I should go to a bookstore instead of asking here :P
I think I do agree partially with one of the reviewers on amazon that one can't blame religion for everything evil done under its name, just like one shouldn't blame science for global warming. But then this reviewer goes into the usual "science can't tell us everything therefore..." argument and my patience ran out. And then I noticed there are 3 comments listed under that review, pretty funny:

Nah I have not read the book. Perhaps some day. I just wanna see him in person, that's all.
No religion nor science is gonna cure anybody of their evils. People are gonna do what they're gonna do. Remember, I believe even conscious thoughts are of no true relevance to what we do. So what does any of this matter to how we behave?
Even if he were the smartest biologist in the world, if he doesn't have that common sense, , he's no smarter than Linus Pauling.
Of course, disagreeing with him doesn't stop me from 追星一把。
